Formula Renault 3.5 - Round 4 - Paul Ricard

10 cars filled the grid in yesterdays race, which run in tele with the real life. FR 3.5 Series. An unchallenged win by Arwin Taruna from Sim Racers Indonesia, leading all race long to clinch the victory over fellow countryman, Aditya Gagat, who was fast out of the box after receiving a late Facebook event invite from Arwin for a showdown.

The pair from the Hong Kong Simracers, Edmund and Kelvin Wong once again represented the province and Edmund Wong qualified 3rd and maintain his position through out the race and finished on the podium, meanwhile Kelvin was unfortunate with a DNF after only 6 laps.

Edmund is sandwiched by another Indonesian, Audie Devanugraha who started 7th on the grid and go on and beat Han Liang from Malaysian Simracers and Jacek Fraczek from Japan to finish 4th.

Jacek Fraczek had a big shunt during the race and had to pit for repairs but reported the damage remains but progressed nontheless to finish the race. Chris Payne who finished at the position he started also suffered the same fate but finished the race nontheless.

The returning Han Liang, the former champ from the previous Formula Renault 3.5 Series a year ago also finished where he started, which is a respectable 6th after a long hiatus.

Meanwhile Kelvinder Singh from Malaysia suffered a dissapointing exit with an engine failure very early in the race.

A very minimal place swap of a race, but it is not easy to maintain position in a demanding car, track and an equally fast paced grid. And also some serious show off of car painting skill :)

The race was streamed live as the first step of doing it for every race in rF2 Asia Series.

Despite being absent in the race, Niranjan Kumar holds the lead in the standings with only 6 points seperating himself and Edmund Wong.

Flat 6 Series - Round 5 - Hidden Valley

In the midst of a weekend full of motorsports drama, (Toyota penultimate lap Le Mans 24hrs and Rosberg victory in Baku's first F1 race), a newcomers to the series, thomas.saunterchun  and darren whittington from Australia took the victory in the 20 minutes Sprint Race and the 40 minutes Feature Race, respectively.

Championship leader, Niranjan Kumar from India had a scrappy run this time and finished a lowery 8th place in both races. What could've been an open goal for his closest challenger in the series, Fadzli Jamil from Malaysia to turn the tide in the championship standings, turns out to be a missed opportunity, as he himself suffered from a technical problem with his connection to join the race.

Adding to the drama, darren whittington and Kelvinder Singh from Malaysia had some episode in the same corner on both races, which is being looked at by the race marshals now as we speak.

Next rF2 Asia Flat 6 Round 6 is going to be in Macau, 10th of July, while we will move on to other series that are running, Saturday Night Fever races, Formula Renault 3.5 and midweek NASCAR 1974 Oval series.
