First race in the brand-spanking-new Matsusaka circuit by 3PA which has been scheduled to include both day and night race session. Both has been a thrilling experience for the drivers being served the options of cars from BES, AMGT3 and the Enduracers Flat6 to choose from and to challenge for the race finish.
Race 1 showed Aiman (Malaysian Simracers) lost nothing in his pace after a long hiatus but Arwin (Sim Racers Indonesia) was not making it easy for him. Arwin lost the lead pretty early in the race after starting on pole position only 0.162 of a second ahead of Aiman's laptime.
Top 5 of the qualifying is just seperated within 1 second with Steven Bocade taking 3rd place on the grid, followed closely by Kelvinder Singh and Yong Jie Wong.
Yong Jie Wong managed to cure the ail of his rFactor 2 installation and finish the race without the game crashing on him but had a few scraps with the pack himself. Despite finishing last, he was lookign forward to the prospect of starting first in the Feature Race reversed grid starting on pole.
"Aiman's AMGT3 799 is slow at the corners, hence thats how i can get close but not enough to overtake him. In the straights the 799 is simply just faster so there were no way for me to overtake him". - Arwin
Arwin lost it at turn 1 few laps before the end and Aiman cruised to victory.
Steven Bocade managed to put his car on the grid despite being on the other side of the globe and despite a troubled start, he managed to wrestled his way through and finished 4th.
Jacek Fraczek celebrate his home race in Japan in his Nismo GT despite finishing 7th, a spot lower than his starting spot on the grid.
Audie Devanugraha (Sim Racers Indonesia) finished a spot higher 6th after starting 7th and his fellow countryman, Indra Feryanto made a decent stayed safe by finishing 8th after starting from the same spot on the grid. But do not let the race result sheet making you think that it was without any action involved. Everything has been captured in the stream of the race provided below.
Race 2 started with a reversed grid from Race 1 result. Going full 45 minutes race with will require one pitstop due to the increased fuel usage multiplier by 2x
Yong Jie Wong started on pole after finishing last in Race 1 and the whole pack traded paint and shuffled position all race long.
Everyone made 1 pitstop for fuel except Jacek Fraczek and Kelvinder Singh who have made 2 stops.
Aiman grabbed the win after leading the race from 8th place and took the lead only 4 laps into the race, being the climber on the race.
Steven Bocade climbed 3 places to finish second, 26s behind Aiman in his BES Lamborghini Gallardo, and Kelvinder Singh also climbed 3 places to finish 3rd in his red Ferrari 458.
There has been many many incidents through out the race but luckily most of it has been caught in the stream. Words are not sufficient to describe the number of action involved despite
the size of the grid.
